ScholarLM — AI-Powered Research Assistant for Academic Literature
ScholarLM is a live, publicly available research platform that runs a federated search
over open scholarly indexes, synthesizes the retrieved papers with AI, and drafts
citation-grounded documents. It is free to use for core research tools and requires
no account to run a search.
What the product does
- Federated search. One query fans out in parallel across integrated open scholarly indexes — Semantic Scholar and OpenAlex among them, together covering 200M+ records — merged with reciprocal rank fusion and reranked.
- Evidence synthesis. Retrieved papers are summarized into a field brief with themes, open questions, and per-source citations.
- ScholarDoc drafting. Long-form research documents written through a generate → critique → verify loop, grounded in the retrieved corpus.
- Screening & systematic review. PRISMA-style screening funnels over a working corpus.
